Last day on the island

Think, think, think...hmm What type of signal can I make that is big enough that a helicopter will see when it passes by this island? I'm guessing a fire would be a good signal but it will have to be a big fire. How will I make the fire? I don't think we have any matches, because if we did we would have been out of here a long time ago. Maybe I could make it by rubbing wood together, like I saw ones on this show my brothers like to watch on the discovery channel. I dont think I have any more options so hopefuly it will work. Carolina, Janelle and I go into the woods and get as much wood as we can and we bring it to shore. While they are going back for more wood I'm in charge of makeing the fire. Its a lot harder than I thought it would be. Im holding one stick and spining it on the one Im holding wih my knees on the floor. My hands are bleeding and its very painful but I can sort of feel heat coming from the wood Im rubbing. Im relived when Janelle and Carolina are back to tell me they founed some luggage washed up on the other side of the island and that they founed some matches in them. I stoped and lid a match and soon we got the fire going, pretty soon all the wood we had brought was all burning and we had to go and get some more of it.

Im collecting wood with the other girls and I hear a loud souned and first I ignore it but then carolina and Janelle are screaming. We all run to shore were a hellicopter was landing. The sight of that hellicopter landing was the best thing that had happened to me.
